StudioNotes was founded in 2000 and is led by Irwin Berent, who has helped fulfill StudioNotes' mandate to have former professional studio executives to critique (honestly and gently) the work of writers to the standards expected of major studios, production companies, and agencies.  The StudioNotes executive team is comprised of readers and consultants with years of experience writing, producing, directing or representing talent for motion pictures and television.  Through its president and dedicated team of professional readers and consultants, StudioNotes has continued consistently to offer the services that have earned it the highest reputation among the screenwriting community as well as the delight and admiration of its inumerable customers.  Here's more about us:

About the President

Irwin Berent, StudioNotes president, is also president of the Writers SuperCenter chain of Internet writer's software stores.  In 1994, he, along with John Jarvis (inventor of the Jarvis Method of story construction), created StoryCraft Software, and he co-managed StoryCraft Corporation for several years.  StoryCraft remains one of the most popular story-development software programs ever produced.

In addition, Mr. Berent is co-author, with professor Rod Evans, of more than 10 books, including Putnam/Berkley Publishing Company's Weird Words series of dictionaries of unusual words as well as The Quotable Conservative; Fundamentalism: Hazards and Heartbreaks; Drug Legalization: For and Against; Norfolk, Virginia: A Jewish History, and The Crew of the U.S.S. Monitor.  His books have been praised by, or received introductions from, a host of intellectuals and celebrities, including Isaac Asimov, Steve Allen, Hugh Downs, William F. Buckley, Alex Haley, Robert Schuller, and Betty White.  And he is frequently listed in Who's Who in America.
