Period Portfolios

Have students use library and Internet resources to create "Period Portfolios" that reflect the look and character of the time period in which their film will be set. These portfolios might include images of everyday life, important events, and famous individuals, as well as news reports, advertisements, and other primary documents. By creating their own portfolios, students should gain a feel for the period that will help them visualize the settings and social milieu for their films.
